My trip to India! (Part 1)

Let me tell you this, you haven’t had “spicy” food until you have it in India. But i’ll get back to that later.
Now what got me to India you ask? Well, after i became passionate about Yoga, i decided to expand my knowledge and go where it originated 10,000 years ago.
The moment i landed in Chennai last May 2016, it was as if colors burst and took over the place like a Holi festival! Everything in India is vividly colored and loud, beauty there demands attention!
You can’t stop taking in the nature itself and its many shades of green, the way ladies wore their beautiful colorful Sari’s, as if they all agree that wearing one color is a sin!
When you walk around the streets of India you need to keep your eyes open and your camera ready, because art could be waiting for you in every corner. For example the rice drawings that you’ll see all around you, they crush rice till it’s a white chalk like powder and they draw with it all over the city, and it’s not considered vandalism because ants will take care of the rice powder and eat it, so gradually the drawing will disappear on it’s own!
Another strange art form in India is driving! Because regardless of the large amount of Tok-Toks and cars, and that there are no apparent rules that forbid you from crossing the street or\and reversing it at any given moment, everyone seems to avoid accidents!
To be honest, that’s a form of art you don’t want to observe closely, unless you thought of the Tok-Tok rides as fun roller coasters!
Now let’s get back to food, i have never eaten or enjoyed spicy food before India, so i had no training prior, and i didn’t know if i was even tolerant to spices!
But their food is so delicious, spicy until you feel the fire burning through your stomach, but it’s so good! I had the pleasure of eating very traditional meals in India, i sat on a colorful mat they sit on while eating and sleeping and i ate out of  a dish that is made of wood. Also, it’s important to mention that they depend on a fully vegetarian diet, to the point where when i came back i went straight to a burger joint the moment i got out of the airport!
Sadly, i don’t remember the names of what i ate, but i sure remember the flavors!

During my adventure in India, i tried to view it as a local instead of a tourist, i ate their food and i even wore their clothings! I loved their colorful comfortable flowy fabric. You get to mix and match, and completely create your own style!

Next week in part 2, i'll tell you about two fashion items that i never used before india, and how it felt like to wear an actual Sari!
Stay toned ;)
